Side With Love

Side With Love Action Center- Issues and Action
There is no such thing as a single-issue struggle because we do notsingle-issue lives. — Audre Lorde
The work that we do together to build a world in which all of us are free and thriving is interrelated. When we ground our spirits, grow our skills, and act strategically for justice in deep relationship with each other and our Movements, we choose to Side With Love.
Side With Love (SWL) Action Center is a place where Unitarian Universalists unite to work toward a world where we all thrive. Together we take action, Side With Love, and make deep impacts in this critical moment.
Find a 1U Justice team that matches your passion, or start another. This year the UUA Beloved Community SWL work has formally adopted the following issues: Create Climate Justice, Decriminalization (including Racial Justice and Immigration Justice), Ending Deportation and Detention, Democracy and Electoral Justice, LGBTQ+ and LGBTQUIA+ and Gender Justice.
This national work and programs can guide 1U Justice work in our congregation and in our communities. Each is important and all intersect in small and large ways. It is a team’s job, a congregation’s job, a state network’s job to determine on interests, needs, and capabilities. Side with Love offers programs, events, and guides for organizing around these issues.
What 1U team would you like to join or form that is inspired by one aspect of these issues? Contact Justice@orlandouu.org and express yourself.
