Justice Council
One aspect of being guided by the Renewal Welcoming Congregation guidelines is bringing formal attention to LGBTQ+/TGQNB* Days of Remembrance in our church calendar and thru the year.
The Justice Council also wants to honor Black History formally as a way to support a truthful view of history in our schools and in our state. Thus, a few Black History Days of Remembrance were selected for special recognition also.
See the LGBTQ+TGQNB Days of Observance here and the Black History Days of Observance here.

Mission Statement:
The Justice Council supports existing 1U justice initiatives and wishes to facilitate new justice actions.
Members and friends are invited to join one of the three Justice teams or to talk to the Council about forming a new team. Sign up with a team and get on its email list –to learn more or to join–or to support the work when you can.
Teams can add initiatives and the The Council can help a new team start up. Teams can be focused on a single event, such as the Pride Parade, be educational, or promote activism or have a justice fellowship mission.
The 1U Justice Google Group continues to provide a way of sharing timely news and events involving central Florida and the state. If you want to learn about or share Justice events, please sign up here. Members and friends are welcome.
