After consultation with congregational leadership, members, and the minister, this committee of six members prepares and presents a slate of members qualified to fill vacant Board of Trustees officer and trustee positions, as well as three candidates for the succeeding year’s Nominating Committee. They present the slate of nominees in the notice for the Annual Meeting of the Congregation; the congregation votes on this slate at that meeting in May. The elected officers, trustees, and nominating committee members begin their term on July 1 of that year.

Nominating Committee members serve a two-year term. They must have been a member of the church for at least one year prior to the election, and they must be a current member. They cannot be a paid employee of the church.
