The Governance Committee is responsible to the Board of Trustees for

  1. ensuring that our Bylaws and governance policies and procedures are documented, and reviewed annually.
  2. ensuring that our Bylaws and governance policies are implemented as intended. 
  3. reviewing new governance polices recommended by the Chief of Staff or any governance committee, and making recommendations to the Board.
  4. assisting in the Board’s functions as requested, such as the annual retreat, new member orientation and the annual self-evaluation.
  5. collaboration with and as the liaison to the Board for the Strategic Planning team.
  6. reviewing progress on the Strategic Plan annually, and reporting to the Board.

At least one Board member will be a member of the Governance Committee.

The Committee meets as needed.
