Finance Committee
We are responsible for the following:
- Reviewing the monthly financial reports prepared by the church administrator.
- Monitoring income and expenses compared to the current budget and investigating major variances.
- Making monthly reports to the Board via the Treasurer.
- Preparing and updating financial forecasts for the current year.
- Working with staff and lay leaders, coordinating preparation of the annual operating budget.
- Preparing and maintaining a five-year financial plan.
- Reviewing and evaluating hazard insurance coverage.
- Monitoring annual pledge campaigns and record keeping.
The Board of Trustees appoints members to the Finance Committee for two-year terms. To be eligible for appointment, you must be a member of 1U for at least one year. If you are interested in joining the Finance Committee, please contact the chair here.
