Our congregation is democratically run. There is an elected Board of Trustees that works with our minister to oversee our mission. The minister is the chief-of-staff and works with professional staff and volunteer staff to implement the congregation's many programs. A committee structure helps organize and communicate the work of the church, and allow members volunteer opportunities within the church and the community.
The Program Coordinating Team (PCT) works with the chief-of-staff to coordinate the programs of the congregation. They are responsible for encouraging collaboration among the teams as well as leadership training.
However our Congregation is always the driving force. All members in good standing attend Congregational meetings and vote on issues, make decisions together, elect the Board of Trustees and more.
It is through the generous contributions of our people's time, talent, and treasure that truly makes First Unitarian what it is!
