Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees (BOT) is comprised of elected congregation members who serve as the decision-making body which sets the general direction of the Congregation. The minister is a non-voting member.

The Board is responsible for mission & vision, policy making, personnel and financial management, with input from staff and the congregation.

The Board officers (President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, Past-President, and Minister) compromise the Board Executive committee. They meet and set the agenda for Board meetings on the first Monday of the month. The full Board meets on the second Monday of each month.

Thank you very much for your generous participation in our annual pledge drive. Over 80 percent of you increased your pledges or remained the same ... no small feat in shaky economic times. You and your financial support are the reasons for our ability to grow and to develop as a church ... and we are on our way, continuing in the direction struck by our forebears almost one hundred years ago. We are pilgrims on the path forged by many of our religious ancestors.

Membership is increasing and attendance is rising. Average attendance for February was 197. We discussed two services as a solution and it may be coming sooner than we had planned. President's Column

Most of us will remember the scratchy recording of President Roosevelt's speech that we listened to in history class in high school. I can still remember the cadence, the intonation, and the pacing of the speech. Made during the dark days of the Depression, President Roosevelt called Americans to be their best selves and not to fear the dragons of poverty and failure that were stalking the nation then, but to welcome the changes that would be occurring.
