General Information

Choral Festival 2011

Every Festival participant must register for the Festival before Feb 17, 2012, using the Registration Form below.  There is no registration fee for the Choral Festival.  However, each choir or singer is expected to purchase a copy of each piece of the Festival music for each singer.  Special arrangements have been made with the composers of 2 of the pieces to provide the sheet music to Festival participants at no cost.

Each singer is expected to learn the music in advance - there is no time at the Festival for note-learning.  Thanks to Festival music director Jamie Sterrett and composer Tim Buchholz, downloadable mp3 files are available to registered participants to aid in note-learning.

A box lunch will be available for Saturday lunch for $5-$7.  The lunch must be reserved on your registration form.  Payment will be collected Saturday at noon.  Don't forget to bring cash!

Saturday dinner and all snacks for the weekend are being provided by the members of  First Unitarian Church of Orlando at no charge for Festival attendees.

Dress code for Sunday:  White tops and black bottoms.

What to bring to rehearsal:  black binder, pencil, refillable water bottle

We have a total of 4 slots for ensemble or solo singing during the preludes.  If you or your group would like to perform in one of those slots, let us know.  The song must fit the general theme of "Compassion".  Preference will be given to ensembles of 4-8 people.  Groups or solos may submit a recording or audition on Saturday at 11:00.
