Affinity Groups

These groups are considered Affinity Groups at First Unitarian Church of Orlando.  (You may also browse through the list of ALL groups in one page.)

BRIEF DEFINITION

Affinity Groups are usually "themed" or "special interest" groups that are in keeping with UU values.  These groups

•  Are Affiliated with a standing Program or Support Services Church Group which is their "sponsor" or connection to the Church
•  Answer to the Church as long as affiliated and plays by Church rules.
• DO NOT get a spending budget from the Church
• Find their own leaders
• Chair/Leader does not have to be a Church member
• Updates Annual Charter explaining what they do in general/plan to do specifically this year to the BOT/Council/Others
•  Writes Annual Report for last Congregational Meeting to tell the Congregation, BOT & Council how they did
