In early February, Rev. Kathy attended the UU Ministers Association’s Institute for Excellence in Ministry along with nearly 400 of her colleagues. The week long seminar that she chose to participate in was led by Rev. Peter Morales, the president of our Unitarian Universalist Association. Rev. Kathy reserved this Sunday for sharing insights and inspirations from her week away.
Our worship service includes a welcome ceremony for First Unitarian's newest members.

Hello, my name is Andy Berry, and I have been a member at large and participating in the life of our beloved community for about four years. But, I was born in a faraway galaxy long, long ago - so the first Star Wars Movie begins and this is at least sometimes the way I feel. I was actually born in a smallish Southern town in Arkansas (Conway), which was very Mayberry-esqe. My parents were White Anglo Saxon Protestants, and that was the way I was raised - not that this was a bad thing - it was simply the way it was. By most accounts I can say that I had an idyllic child-hood. |
