Sunday Worship - 9:00am & 11:30am, Sanctuary Earth Day, Rev. Kathy Schmitz Earth Day falls on a Sunday this year. We'll take time to consider areas of concerns as well as to celebrate the blessings of the planet that sustains us. This is also our New Member Sunday - join us in welcoming our newest members.
Children's Religious Education - 10:15 to 11:15am, Religious Education Complex
Classes are based on Tapestries of Faith Curricula for Kindergarten through High School All sessions are drop-in Friendly. YUUth Group for teens meets on the first and third Sundays from 1:00 - 2:00 in the RE Assembly Room and Room 14 of the RE Complex
Adult Religious Education - 10:15 to 11:15am All sessions are drop-in friendly! For more info click here. In the Library: Newcomer Orientation: Are you a newcomer to our church? Would you like to meet our minister, Reverend Kathy Schmitz, learn more about Unitarian Universalism, and get answers to any questions you may have? If so, the Membership Committee invites you to attend this hour-long Orientation between the two worship services. Green Track, Room 9: Our “Green” adult religious education track is currently using Spirit in Practice from the UUA’s Tapestry of Faith. Today, in Workshop 9, we explore Justice Practices Community Room (aka Room 18): Spiritual Literacy: Each fourth Sunday, we use a video discussion series that uses short films to prompt discussion on a variety of topics. This month Bob Leger leads our session on Love: The way is in the heart. Love flowers in all the familiar places and also in a diner, a chemotherapy unit and a city street.

Tuesday The Alliance - 10:00am, Gore Hall We will have our annual meeting Tuesday, the 24th, with a potluck luncheon. There will be an election of new officers. Our membership dues are $10.00 and we are always glad to accept a bigger donation.
Wednesday Choir Rehearsal - 7:00pm, Room 3 All singers, all ages, all levels of experience and ability are encouraged to join in rehearsals, both to prepare music for presentation in worship services and to build joyous connections with other singers and musicians in the congregation. Come and sing!
Thursday Meditation Group - 7:00pm, Gore Hall This is an open, ongoing meditation group, offered free of charge each week. All are welcome. No registration is required.
Other News Happy Earth Day from Green Team! We'll be renewing our congregational membership to UUMFE and you may browse the new site and make additional gifts if you wish.
Thank You to Blood Donors Thank you to all the kind people that donated at the recent First U blood drive. There were a total of 12 people registered and they collected from 8-- for approximately 24 lives saved.
UUA Stewardship Consultant On Saturday, May 5, a Stewardship Consultant from the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) will meet leaders and participants from various areas of congregational life. A more detailed schedule will be available in next week’s eblast.

Proposed Budget Ready for Your Review The Budget Task Force has completed a Proposed Budget for 2012-2013, and the Board of Trustees has endorsed it. Now you have the opportunity and duty to review it before our Annual Meeting on May 20, where we as a congregation will vote on whether to approve this budget. Our Annual Meeting Our Annual Meeting -- the biggest congregational meeting of the year -- will be on Sunday, May 20, starting at 12:45pm in Gore Hall. Mark your calendars! There'll be pizza for sale (so you won't go hungry), and childcare will be available for the little ones. This is the meeting where we elect Board and Nominating Committee members; we'll vote on changing part of our Bylaws; we'll vote on the Proposed Budget for next church year; and we'll hear about what we've done this past year and where we're going from here. You won't want to miss it! All are encouraged to attend; if you're a voting member of the congregation, we really need you there. April 27 - Community Sing/Karaoke at 1U - 7:00 pm, Gore Hall Doors Open to a "Try New Stuff" time from 7:00 to 7:30 p.m., so you can work on new tunes or try the karaoke experience for the first time. Experienced singers go onstage from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $4, with proceeds going to the church and to building a song and equipment inventory. Dinner with Friends Members and Friends, Dining Together, All Over Town. Dinners will be held on Saturday, April 28, around 6 p.m. at the homes of various church members. May 6 - One Room Schoolhouse for all ages - 10:15, Assembly Room We will immerse ourselves in some beautiful expressions of Buddhism and look at the role of compassion in this spiritual tradition. This is the last in our series of One Room Schoolhouses this year, so we will also revisit the Charter for Compassion and create our own video version of the Charter.
