Campus Tending Volunteer Day

Join us as we tend to and beautify the church campus every third Saturday each month


Saturday,  June 18th– 9:00am
 
  • Weed Rescued plant Area
  • Weed the wildflower bed adjacent to the parking lot
  • Move mulch from the camphor tree to the dirt parking drive lane (need wheel barrows, shovels and rakes)
  • Install door sweep on Sanctuary exterior door
  • Prune large Viburnum shrub into Tree form at Assembly room entrance (does anyone own a chainsaw and safety goggles?
  • Weed and tend to the RE Swale planting project
  • Rake leaves from the parking lot landscape area (North side) (need lawn bags)
Don’t forget to bring a hat, water and gardening gloves if you have them

Plan Ahead - - - Saturday, July 16th – 9:00am
 
  • Clean rest of RE Room Blinds (Project Leader - Kathy Homblette)
  • Clean RE courtyard Water Fountain by Assembly room door
  • Install paver walkway near Office entrance
 
Please Note: 
 
I will be completing a master plan of the church campus to have a CAD (electronic) base plan, delineate where existing landscape, benches, etc. are to be able to plan better for future landscape improvements, campus planning and maintenance needs for certain areas.

 When I get the plan done (in a couple of months from now), I’ll coordinate with Rev. Kathy and then present the plan to the Buildings & Grounds Committee/ B&G Helpers for input and comments.
