Here’s some more information for our 1U Plant Rescue Day on Mar 19, 2011. We’ll be going to an upland Pine Flatwoods ecosystem.

 What to Wear and Bring
  • Wear comfortable shoes and clothes for being outdoors.
  • Bring water for yourself and also for the plants that will be rescued.
  • Bring a shovel, gloves.
  • Bring containers for the plants (if you have them), I’ll have some for us.
Where to Meet
 
Meet at Church at 8 AM if you want to share rides.  We need to meet the guide at 8:30am at the Walgreens parking lot in Winter Garden.

Next Steps

We’ll bring the plants back to the church campus and store them for a month and then plant them in the ground on the April 16, 2011. This is to help the plants root in and get over the shock of transplant.  I’ll care and water the plants until April 16th.
