The Alliance - Jun 2010

May 1st is membership renewal time, and one of our members will match any money given over the $10.00 yearly dues. The Alliance is essentially a giving circle. We raise money from donations and our continuing bazaar and donate most of it to local charities. Last year we gave away $15,000. We also pledge to our two churches. The Alliance is an important voice for Unitarians Universalists in the community. Donate your money with 70 other men and women and make a difference. Make your check payable to The Alliance and mail it to the church or give it to Shirley Jantzen. Thank you.

The Alliance meets Tuesdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm in Gore. Among other activities, we prepare donated items for sale in our Continuing Bazaar. Bring along a bag lunch; iced tea is provided.

June 1            Board Meeting; work on the Continuing Bazaar

June 8            Potluck lunch; work on the Continuing Bazaar

June 15         Make sandwiches for the homeless; work on the Continuing Bazaar

June 22         Virginia Thayer will present a monologue titled "Missing A Beat". The subject is Women's heart health. Also, work on the Continuing Bazaar

June 29         Alexis Collins, Resident Services Director of the Orlando Neighborhood Improvement Corporation, will be our speaker. Also, work on the Continuing Bazaar
