Veterans Day

When I realized that our Drop-in Covenant Group meeting fell on Veterans Day, I just felt impelled to choose it as our topic for sharing this month. Although my Grandfather (WWI), Father (Korean War), and my Uncle (Vietnam) are veterans, I never felt as strongly about this holiday as much as I do now that my son is in the Army. If you yourself are a veteran, have or had a member of your family who is a veteran, or if you would just like to honor and share your thoughts on veterans, please join us.

We will be meeting on Wed November 11th from 7:00 to 9:00pm in the Sharon Lee Hiett Library. All are welcome.

Covenant groups meet once a month. We always have an extra chair for anyone to join. The format of the meetings includes: a chalice lighting, check-in, opening reading, topic discussion, closing reading, and check out. There are groups that currently meeting on Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday nights as well as a group on a Wednesday afternoon.
