Four ways you can help the Green Elephant Book Sale! Don't miss the upcoming "Green Elephant" book sale by the Alliance and Covenant Groups on August 15 and Aug 16! Here four ways how UU bookworms and recycle fans can help… 1) Our gorgeous green elephant postcards are in and ready for you to help take them out into the big, wide world! Reduce, Recycle and Reread!  We urge all church members help us with publicity so as to get lots of buyers to the sale! Anyone who can is encouraged to put a postcard up on their grocery store or workplace bulletin board or their friends' refrigerators etc. Just pick up a few postcards to distribute at church the next few Sundays either in coffee hour or at the table just before you enter Gore Hall. 2) Do you have books to donate? You can bring them in for the sale any time starting Sunday August 10. 3) Are you interested in helping set up or working the sale? We welcome extra helping hands. Please see Winnie Tyler to get your name on the sign up sheets! Book sale workers get surprise perks! 4) On Saturday, from noon onward, the books FREE to schools, libraries, or charities. Tell your teacher and librarian and charity-involved friends! |
