Adult Religious Education

Adult Religious Education (RE) at the First Unitarian Church of Orlando starts where Sunday school left off. Adult RE classes connect us to the world community by opening our eyes to other cultures, reading religious texts, and prompting involving discussions. Our classes promote small group connections where you’ll get to meet new people and new ideas.

Adult RE encompasses a wide range of events. Among other things, we offer Mystic Grove (our pagan group), Meditation, and Forums. Our church is very active in social action. We take action to back up our words. Some recent actions include providing for the homeless, fighting for marriage equality, and adopting a park.

We invite you to become a part of Religious Education any Sunday morning from 9:30am to 10:30am in our Library. Members, nonmembers, and visitors are welcome to all events!

There are many Adult RE classes to choose from this month.

Green Education: Pagan Eco-Living (1st Sundays) Why this class? Because being pagan is more than rituals and spells. It is more than the other trappings of what is perceived to be pagan. It is a way of living that permeates every aspect of an individual’s life as we try to live in harmony with nature and each other.
