Children’s Religious Education (CRE)

First Unitarian’s Religious Education Program for Children and Youth is an exciting learning experience that aspires to change the world of tomorrow by the way we teach our children and youth today about spirituality, religion, responsibility, community, and the precious home we share with all living things.

2008-2009: A Welcome Message from the LRE

Our Program of CRE Classes follows the following four year cycle:

  • Year Two: UU History, part One and Our Whole Lives (OWL)

  • Year Three: World Religions

  • Year Four: UU History, part Two and Our Whole Lives (OWL)

Beloved Members and Friends of First Unitarian Church of Orlando, as many of you know, our Children’s Religious Education Program (RE), like all of our church programs, is working this year under deep budget cuts as we grow through this transitional period in our church’s life and as we face, as a nation, a shaky and uncertain economic future. The Children’s RE Committee and I have had several serious and lengthy discussions about how to best implement these budget cuts and have reached the following consensus.
