Tuesday, Nov. 11, from 7:00 to 9:00pm in the Sharon Lee Hiett Library This documentary film examines the role forgiveness can play in alleviating anger and grief while promoting physical, mental, spiritual, and global wellbeing. The film includes: • interviews with leaders from many faith traditions. • character-driven stories about significant transgressions • Research findings from doctors and psychotherapists who present the benefits of forgiveness and the hidden costs of unforgiveness. Interspersed with film clips will be an opportunity for participants to explore the film’s themes and ideas in a facilitated discussion. This film has already been used as a healing tool following the shootings at Virginia Tech and has been shown recently at United Nations Headquarters in New York City as part of their ongoing series, Understanding Conflict. |
