Transforming the World
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead
Unitarian Universalists and this congregation have a long history being at the forefront of societal transformation. I believe we as individuals and as a congregation can have an important role in creating the future of the world at large. If not us, who? If not now, when? In today’s complex society, there are many issues and many methods of affecting change. What methods have been successful in the past, and what methods will be successful in the future? Is religious activism different than secular activism? What issues are burning inside you that you are willing to work towards?
Please join covenant groups on Sunday mornings from July 13th through August 3rd in the library from 9:30-10:30am, as we lead a discussion on these questions.
